💙 About the Race
The Father’s Day Retro Regatta is a fun-filled, family-friendly remote control boat race where fathers, father figures, and their children team up to race [retro-themed] remote-controlled boats through a series of timed heats on the scenic Trinity Park Duck Pond. No boating experience? No problem. This is all about bonding, joy, and retro flair!
🛥️ Race Format
Team Structure: 2-person teams (1 adult + 1 youth under 18) / (1 adult + 1 child over 18)
Boats Not Provided: Bring your own Remote Controlled boats
Heats: Timed races in waves of 6 - 10 boats
Final Rounds: Fastest finishers go on to compete in the Championship Round
🏁 Race Categories
Lil’ Wave Racers (ages 5–8) – short course, assisted control
Junior Cruisers (ages 9–13) – moderate challenge
Speed Splashers (ages 14–17) – advanced youth
Legacy Captains (Adult + Youth) – all ages welcome
Open Boat Bash – freestyle fun run, all ages

All boats must meet standard safety and size guidelines (posted on registration page)
Only team members allowed in race zones during heats
No gas-powered or high-speed modified RCs allowed for this race [notify us and if there is enough interest to make a race we will do so]
Respect event staff, fellow racers, and park regulations
Have fun, cheer loudly, and wear your retro gear!
